My finger is numb after cutting myself on a file in chemistry class, what do i do?

in chemistry on tuesday, we were doing an experiment in which we had to file down pennies to find out the metal on the inside. we used these huge, some what rusty file sticks to file down the copper pennies (which happen to be zinc on the inside). i'm such a klutz, they really shouldn't trust me in a chem lab but after my finger slipped while filing down the penny, i got cut on the edge of the file. it's a minor gash, but i couldn't clean it with peroxide for another 6 or 7 hours until i got home. i put a bandage on and washed it immediately but i don't know if i got rust, or zinc powder (which was on the table from the filing down) but my finger feels very weird, with the feeling i have a bandaid on when i don't lol idk how to describe it, it's also kind of numb. please let me know what to do asap!!! thanks :)
